My work stems from an inherent curiosity with relationships; our relationships with each other as human beings, and with photographs as objects.

I have long been interested by the ideta of sight as our dominant sense, and therefore imagery as our prevailing means of communication. I wanted to explore this with images of what I deem most fundamental and fascinating in this world; people. I used the sound of the street alongside these images as an attempt to take some authority away from sight, to create an appreciation for the necessity of more than one mode to judge by.

I had as little knowledge of or contact with the people I photographed and recorded as being hidden with a camera or a microphone can allow. And yet I, as very likely so will the viewer, have a vast amount of almost uncontrollable conceptions and judgements of the images, as people. They matter to me and I assume to know something of them; these digital pixels.
